Angela Torregoza Esq.
Founder
Angela Torregoza is a Filipino-American immigration attorney based in New York City. She graduated summa cum laude from CUNY City College of New York, with dual majors in Sociology & Education and received her Juris Doctor law degree from CUNY School of Law where she was awarded the Larry Levine Human Rights Fellowship. Since 2019, Angela’s work has been annually recognized by Super Lawyers, an honor reserved for only 2.5% of attorneys in the New York Metro for exhibiting excellence.
Angela has successfully assisted families with their permanent residency applications, individuals applying for U.S. citizenship, artists with their work visas, and entrepreneurs starting their business in the United States. She is a Member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and has served as Co-Chair of the AILA-NY New Member Division from 2018-2020. Angela is also a Member of the Filipino American Lawyers Association of New York (FALANY), the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers, and the New York Women’s Bar Association (NYWBA) where she serves on the Immigration Committee.
Outside of her legal practice, Angela is on the board of Project Attica, a New York-based nonprofit organization devoted to working with youth and underserved communities through art-based activities and programs focused on social justice issues. In her free time, Angela practices reiki and travels the world in search of street art, culinary and outdoor adventures.
